2 min readJan 24, 2021
Hey y’all! My name is Siddhesh Krishnan. Here are some fun facts about me:
- I was born in Lansing, Michigan, but have lived in Dublin, Ohio before moving to Austin, Texas for high school!
- I attended Westwood High School in Austin, TX.
- My favorite extracurricular throughout high school would be playing the piano!
- Having lived in Austin, UT seemed like the best choice for me given the proximity to home and the great offerings of the CS program!
- Ever since a little kid, I have always been fascinated by how a small metal box is capable of so much. Given this, I knew that I wanted to pursue Computer Science. For this reason, I chose to major in Computer Science here at UT!
- I am taking Software Engineering as I would love to be a Software Engineer in the future and believe that this class would offer me tips and more knowledge that I would be able to use to further my career to accomplish my goal.
- Through this class, I expect to gain more knowledge on good Software Development practices such as documenting code and more technologies such as Docker, AWS, and more.
- While I do have a lot of experience with Python from a Data Science perspective, this will be one of my first times using it in a web development perspective. I also have much to learn about JavaScript and SQL as well.
- I enjoy the cold-calling as it forces me to pay attention during the lectures and always keeps me on my toes. It’s often easy to stop paying attention during a zoom-class, but I believe the cold-calling will help avoid that.
- This week I moved back to campus, which made me happy. After a long time, I was finally able to see some of my friends and go to some of my favorite spots on campus!
- My pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week would be to check out Notion! Notion is a way for you to keep track of your tasks and stay organized. Make sure to check it out!
